Q: What is Taekwondo and how is it
different from other martial arts?
A: The
martial arts were developed thousands of years ago as forms of self-defense.
Karate originated in Japanand Kung Fu came from China,
while Tae Kwon Do is native to Korea.
In terms of techniques, Tae Kwon Do emphasizes kicks more than other martial
arts, making it ideal for improving your child's balance, flexibility, and
endurance.
Q: At what age can children start?
A: We have martial arts programs available
for children as young as 4 years old.
Children are placed in classes specific to their age and abilities,
ensuring that they receive the maximum benefit from their Taekwondo training.
Q: Is it safe for children to learn?
A: Although Taekwondo developed as a form
of self-defense, the number one thing children learn through our program is
discipline and self-control. All of our
students are students are expected to be humble, courteous, respectful, and
careful. These training points in
addition to constant close instructor supervision set a very safe training
environment inside the studio and give students the discipline to not to use
their skills outside of class.
Q: Are there classes for adults?
A: Yes! We have a very robust adult program
with a highly motivated and supportive body of students. Anybody can join!

Q: Can I take class together with my son or
daughter?
A: Yes. In
fact, many families are finding Tae Kwon Do to be the perfect family activity,
combining an exciting workout with a new learning experience. You have your
choice of attending children's and adults' classes individually or coming
together to our Family Class. Either way you'll have a great time and create a
special family bond.
Q: Who instructs the classes?
A: All of our classes are led by Master Hyo
Bang. With over 30 years of martial arts
training, his challenging and dynamic classes encourage students to constantly
strive for excellence while providing top quality martial arts training.
Q: What times are the classes?
A: Class times vary based on the student¡¯s
age and belt level. Check out the class schedule to see what time is best for
you.
Q: How often can I attend?
A: Ideally, students should attend class 2
or 3 times per week in order to maximize the benefits from their martial arts
training.
Q: Am I physically fit enough to learn
Taekwondo?
A: Anybody
can do Taekwondo, regardless of your age or current fitness level. Our classes are designed to accommodate
people of all fitness levels and encourage them to try the best to their own
ability. The main thing is not to try to beat everybody else, but to challenge yourself and to always strive for
excellence.
